A long time between posts - July 2010 Update

I've had a lot on my mind the last two weeks, but I haven't had the liberty to talk about any of it until today. We wanted to wait until we put out our July newsletter to say anything.

So without further ado, you can click the photo to read it in a larger window. It's also on Facebook, if you follow us there. :)

  4. Wow Wow Wow! That IS big.
While we weren't on the other side of the globe, Larry & I stepped down from the ministry where we were in the Spring of 09. We KNOW that we KNOW that we KNOW God is not done with us yet and one day we will be back in full time ministry, but until then, we are following Him and being fed & working in other areas. Lots of hugs for you & your sweet family.

And umm...are you sure you don't want to come live in Texas near the YWAM headquarters in Lindale? :) We'd be right down the road from you! :)

  5. Praying all goes well with the move & finding work soon too. We're near Gettysburg, PA & jobs are a bit scarce depending on what you all will be looking for.

  6. My prayers are with all of you as you move forward to the next adventure. With God as your guide you will never misstep. I'm sure it will be a new adventure for Oceana and Naomi and they will adjust well and quickly, kids seem to do that.

  7. Our family works in Santiago, Chile as missionaries and we, too, have decided to return to the US in 2014. Scary, scary, but a great opportunity to trust God in all we do and in His plan for our family and for yours as well. We will be praying for your transition and adjustment and all that it entails!

  8. wow Susie - that is big news. Making the decision is often the hardest step - with that behind you I hope the next few weeks (weeks!) go smoothly for you all. The USA isn't such a bad place to live :) I can highly highly recommend beautiful Colorado!

Best wishes for you all during this transition time.

  9. Honestly, I think it's a really smart idea. I know my BFF and her family are "home" in the US after 3 years in the field and plan to go back again for another 3 year stint. And my husband (pastor in the US) and I have been through a lot with our churches as well as our personal life in the time we've been married, so I can definitely understand the need to just step away for a bit without throwing in the towel.

I pray this is exactly that - a time of renewal for your family! Will you keep blogging? I hope so, but I also admit that's purely a selfish request =)
