If you've been reading my blog for over a year, you'll remember Joshua's nurse - Heather. I credit Heather with saving Joshua's life when he had a staph infection at 3 weeks old. Had she not encouraged me strongly to put him on antibiotics (against his pediatrician's advice), we never would have enjoyed those next 6 weeks with him. Heather came diligently, without pay, for weeks. She cleaned and wrapped his encephalocele several times a week. She was with us when his encephalocele burst.
On Sunday night Heather's fifteen year old son, Michael, passed away. Please keep Joshua's hero and her family in your prayers while they walk through this dark week.
Wow, what a horrible thing for her to go through. :(
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for Heather's family..to lose your son at such a promising age...how sad!!! I will be praying for them!!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, I will be praying.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely pray for her. Please, without invading her privacy, just give updated prayer requests for her.

ReplyDeleteI remember asking you how Heather was doing, as she was working with Joshua when his cele broke. I think of her fondly. In so many ways, she really WAS Joshua's hero.
