It would be a different kind of name for this little one. But I experienced something different with this baby.
The first time I felt Oceana move, I was 17 weeks pregnant. My OB was checking her heartrate and Oceana kicked the doppler - the OB said, "Didn't you feel that?" I didn't, and then she did it again. And it hurt! I probably had felt her before, but didn't know what to look for.
With Joshua I felt him first at 11 weeks. It was a very light touch. He was always a slider, not so much a kicker. His feet would slide along my sides. In fact in the last few weeks of my pregnancy he would even let me rub the sides of his feet. He never really kicked me.
I wasn't sure if I had felt the baby yet. But the other day in the car this little one did a flip. I didn't realize till it was over what had happened. But then the baby did it again that night, or the next night.
FlipFlop. Cute, right?
Too cute! Isn't that an amazing feeling? I'm just starting to feel flutters from our little one. I wonder what doing flips in utero will mean personality-wise?? :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! My youngest was our "flipper". She came out busy & so far has stayed busy.
ReplyDeleteI think your new "name" is absolutely, 100% perfect.
Don't you just love the first time you feel the baby move? It is the best feeling ever.
