Day 25 - 101 posts

Joshua's doing well. He went back to the nurse this morning to have his bandages changed. It's still weeping and oozing gunk, but Heather's really gentle when she cleans it. The swab for infection isn't back yet, so we'll probably hear about that on Monday. He must be heading into a growth spurt because he's eating twice as often, and sometimes twice as long too. He's got baby acne like CRAZY. Oceana did the same thing at 3 weeks - just as I was planning to get baby pictures taken. I waited until 6 weeks so that I wouldn't document the teenage-boy-acne. :)

It's February 1st today (I'm 18 hours ahead of EST), so Joshua's been alive in two months. Wow. Add that to the list of milestones.

Joshua's Amazing Milestones
*Born alive
*Healthy weight
*Breastfeeding, sucking well
*Bought and used 3 packs of diapers
*Lost his umbilical cord
*Getting to use his blankets and clothes
*Getting to come home with him
*Getting to show Joshua off to our friends

Hope all is well with you.

  3. I have an honest question. I can't help but think that for every day is is alive that it is going to be that much harder when he goes to be with the Lord. How do you think you will handle it when he passes? Do you ever "forget" that that time will come sooner rather than later?
