Etsy

I'm taking a quick hiatus from Etsy --- I got very overwhelmed with the projects I took on in October. There were countless nights up until 3am to finish sewing a project that was due. There were also two botched projects that had to be (tops, not full costumes) redone --- again, more stress.

I took on too much. Tried to rush. And failed at the too much/rush part. The final results were great, when I had the time to finish them. But when I was rushing, I cut corners that cost me.

My hiatus is simply as long as it takes for me to get my Mom's machine from Vermont. The machine I've been using is fine, but I'm not familiar with it, so when I get irritated with it (because if you're a seamstress you often decide your machine is out to get you) I didn't know what to do with it to solve the issue.

I love sewing, and I want to be sure I continue to love sewing. I don't want to hate the time I spend sewing, because it's one of my favorite things. :) The break won't be long.

  1. Dr. Horrible lab coat!! Classic! That's a good idea for Halloween next year! You are such a talented seamstress but don't get too overwhelmed!!!
