The gift that keeps on giving

2 years ago, when Joshua was with us, Victoria @ Painting 4 Him sent me a present. It included 4 pieces of beautiful fabric and [at least] 2 girls dress patterns.

Vic - I've used up every piece of fabric. As you can see here.

[The pink/white skirt under the tutu].

Recently Oceana spotted one of the patterns. This one, and refused to let it go. Despite never having watched Snow White all the way through [too scary and full of stuff I don't want her watching], she had to have a Snow White costume. Sure, why not? It's cute.

So even though it's a birthday present, I let her try it on and told her she was allowed to wear it until bedtime, and then I was going to wrap it up for her birthday.

I spent $6[NZD] for the red fabric.

It sports a white bedsheet collar.

A blue sarong sleeve and bodice. Don't worry, there are a zillion of these...

And an ugly yellow crib sheet skirt!

It has a spare zipper [brown] and red ribbon leftover from last year's hair-ribbon crafts.

Cheap cheap cheap!

I love it. And what's better - she is over-the-moon for it. :)

  4. What a wonderful mother you are to sew this for Oceana! And I love how almost everything's been recycled to make her dress-up outfit! I love their little white dresses & lavender sweaters--did you make the sweaters too? Have a very Happy and Blessed Easter!

  15. Wow! Is that a trampoline... without a safety net? <--- That isn't meant as judgment. I'm amazed, because around here, people are so paranoid they even have safety nets on the little ones that are six inches off the ground and have a bar to hold onto, that are made for a toddler to use in the house. LOL!
