I'm considering doing a sewing tutorial on the blog. What do you think?

Is it something you're interested in? Both these dresses were sewn from my own original patterns, with fabric that was sitting in my boxes of unused fabric. Actually, both came from a box of leftovers at a friend's garage sale. The yellow is a bedsheet. The squirrel print is so retro, I have a feeling is real retro!

I made these after seeing Farm Fresh Iowa's finished projects for Easter. I reminded me - with just about ten days to spare - that I had nothing for the girls' Easter dresses. I made these with leftovers, on the fly, without patterns. It's possible. :)

So how 'bout it? Are you up for some sewing tutorials?

  1. I'd love a sewing tutorial. We adopted our daughter (age 3 1/2 now) just over a year ago and ever since we brought her home I've been dying to sew her some pretty, girlie dresses...but I lack the confidence. I have a bit of know how, meaning I know how to use my sewing machine to make simpler things like baby slings...but I would love to learn some dressmaking skills from your tutorial!

  8. Maybe it would motivate me to get sewing again, so yes! I'd also love to see knitting more of your knitting as I have recently been trying to pick that up again (I haven't done anything since college...)
