***As seen in New Zealand Women's Weekly magazine***

That's on the front of the magazine. The article was pretty good, though I feel she took slight liberty with a few things I said. She just made me sound more 'flowery' than I am. Basically, she quoted me as saying some cliched stuff, and you know I'm not into that. But it was a very good article, and they even put in the reason we named him Joshua - "Be strong and courageous". Very cool in my book.

Even though it's a celebrity gossip magazine, and the last week's piece in "Amazing Kiwi Exclusive" was about a transgendered woman turned man had a baby, they still wrote it well, it's got a readership in the hundreds of thousands. So a lot of people saw this, and even better, at the end it was a piece about Ruel Foundation and RF put a huge ad in the back, so people can continue to give. Very cool. :o)

*****Edited to add: To read the article, click into the picture. It will open up MUCH larger in a separate window. You may have to guess at a few words, but most of it is easy to read.*****

  4. Wow a PEOPLE magazine! ;-) That's so cool though, I'm glad his story is reaching so many. No, dress wasn't in stock in my size (12 week order! AGH!) But it's ok because I don't have time to do anything with it yet anyway, and it'll stay at my parent's in CT. I can't gain ONE ounce, kinda scary but a good motivator!

Glad you're happy with the article, I was pleased to see that they put in the bit about why you named him Joshua - good to get God out there a bit ay!!

  6. I just woke up and it's 7:30 in the morning and I'm in tears. Joshua was such a miracle and his life really effected me for some reason. Reading the story all over again and realizing all that you and Matt have been through is very hard for me. Joshua was beautiful and he sure was a precious miracle. Beautiful article!

  8. are you picky on the kind of PB (peanut butter) you eat... I know for some people it's Jiffy or nothing! Just curious. Also if I wanted to sent you a gift basket what's your address? I could probably get it from Your mother in law but I figured I'd ask you first...
