On lunchbreak with the girls...

We just finished lunch and are sitting here having a short chat. The weather isn't cooperating today. It's sunny, then pouring, then sunny, and then torrential rain again.

I need to get out the beach and get some photos for our next advert/brochure for the DTS, but I can't get what I want without the sun. And I refuse to waste the gas to get out there and have it start raining again (the sky is blue for the 3rd time this morning and it's only 12:30pm). Good grief.

Anyways. What's the weather like where you are today? And if you say you're hot I may just have to come visit you. Or, we can all head over to Andrea's because she made lemon scones. Bring it on. I'm bringing the coffee Andi!!! But someone's gonna have to bring chocolate too...

  4. It's warm here! Do come visit! I'm finding it cool though, the glories of the dry season. Which is great, because I'm painting the house, so I can turn the aircon off and have the windows wide open and not die from the heat.

  5. I'm in Iowa, USA and it's been muggy but sunny all day - 84 degrees at 8:30 in the evening, but we're just getting thunderstorms now. If you're going to go somewhere hot, I vote for somewhere with dry heat. The humidity is no fun at all!

  6. WHOO-HOO! Come on over everyone!

It's gonna be delicious and loud and funny! I only wish it really could happen.

There would definitely have to be chocolate too - good thinking, girl!

  9. sorry... I have to say it but it was hot and sunny. which in my opinion is NOT a good thing because I was slaving away outside all day so we could slave away some more to lay sod tonight. At one point I thought for sure I was going to puke I was so hot/tired... so even though it was hot I may have prefered some gloom : ) Praying for sunshine to come your way- say a prayer for rain for me? Then I wont have to pay an insane water bill this month after watering the sod!! : )Please RAIN ? !! Elisha

  10. Yeah, it's about 105 F here today, with heat storms. But that's cool, normally we're more along the lines of 110/115. Which for the conversion factor we're talking over 40 C.

I know that's what you wanted to hear Sus!

  11. Hey Susie,

I have chocolate and I have plenty of coffee. I have the beach two blocks down the hill, and it has been in the low 80's here on the coast. Sunny days, slight afternoon fog rolling up the street from the harbor, beautiful sunsets, perfect. Welcome to Capistrano Beach, California. We have the best weather in the world, seriously. And "I'll leave the light on." Hope your's clears up for you.

    Love, Laurie in Ca.

  15. Well...I'm in Oklahoma, so...it's HOT! Like 92-94ish outside...a few clouds, but very sunny...not too humid and it would be a marvelous day for the lake! And you're welcome to come any time you like. =)

  18. It's grey, overcast and 60 F here in Washington state. I'm told it's supposed to be summer here, but I haven't seen it yet. My poor garden is only a couple inches high. I can relate to being tired of grey days.

  20. Susie,

Here in Boise, Idaho it will be 90 degrees today and 101 Saturday and Sunday. I am afraid chocolate would melt here. How about a frozen chocolate yogurt?
