The weekend

It was busy! Our friend Joanne is expecting her first on the 21st of June, so we had a baby shower for her over the weekend. That was heaps of fun, and quite longer - hehehehe. Of course I dislike hanging out with 15 women, eating junk food, drinking coffee and chattering on about babies and labor for 3 hours. Don't you? If you do, I don't think we can be friends anymore! ;)

Joanne's just about 4 weeks from her due date. Tiny tummy huh? It does go out further than the photo shows - but still she's tiny. She knows if its a boy or girl, but won't tell us. :o( Haha. I have my guesses, and even gave her a colour-specific gift. But if I'm wrong, I'll have to get it back and change it. Hahaha.

That night we went to our friend's house -Nesi and Api. They are Fijian - which explains their names. Nesi's due in August - we're surrounded by tummies. We ate more junk, watched Oceana bounce of the walls and watched Transformers. I've seen it before, but it was alright. On Sunday we went to church and then were planning to have a friend over for lunch. I called her when we got home, and she'd forgotten to ring and postpone, because she was seriously sick. Poor girl. So instead, we went to our new friend's Paul and Adele's house and had lunch there. Their boys - 8, 11, and 14 think Oceana is the koolest thing since sliced bread. Which is fine with me! Haha. Our friends Grant and Ali's son Joshua, 11 or 12, is the same way. I love watching boys play with little kids - it's so sweet.

And then - because I'm crazy - I went to church (another church) that evening, because someone I knew from years ago was preaching. And it was very, very, very good. ;) Also kool to catch up with old friends I haven't seen in ages. I left NZ when I was 17 and really haven't managed to catch up with my friends since then. So it's been kool to start seeing everyone again. I just don't like having to explain the "I have two, but I have one" thing. Grrr. But it's just gonna happen. Like at Paul & Adele's - Adele knew about Joshua, but he didn't - so he stopped me in the middle of saying something and I had to explain again. Grrr.

This morning I'm feeling pretty horrid. It just takes forever to wake up the last few days - with a bit of a cold looming over me. I have a LOT of stuff I need to do today, so I'm hoping that I start finding some energy here soon...

See ya!
