mummy i tyud.

im going to bed. honestly.

dishes are done. house is clean (no thanks to me, all credit to my husband). laundry folded (not put away, let's not get over-zealous). feel like i was on the verge of another PA - but took some tylenol - hoping to curb it off if possible. if i have another tonight - i'll call the dr in the morning. this is ridiculous.

realized that when i go to bed absolutely exhausted i don't have PAs - but i do have them when i decide i should go to bed early and get extras sleep. if i have to 'work' at falling asleep - PA.

enough already.

going to bed.

  1. Oh sweetie, I feel your pain with having panic attacks about sleep! It has only become worse since becoming a mommy! I can remember being about 4 or 5 years old, and watching a commercial for a sleep studythat said, "Parents, do your children have a hard time falling asleep at night? Do they toss and turn and lay awake??? Blah blah blah..." I wanted to go get my mommy and say, "yes, this is me, mommy, help me! but I didn't know how to tell her.

When I'm particularly stressed, I lay awake all night and panic because I can't fall sucks!

    I'll pray for you tonight!!!

  2. Susie-
I have been lurking reading your story for a few weeks ago, and just decided I should come out of lurking! You are so strong and full of faith. I don't know if I could be as strong as you if I were in your situation, and we do have some things in common. I have a two year old son and a daughter that is 4 1/2 months old. I love them so much and would have carried both of them no matter what the problem was.
I just wanted to let you know that I think you are strong and a wonderful mother.

  3. I hope the panic passed over you tonight, and you slept really well.

Aren't husband's great - mine cleans the house up nearly every night for me - cause most nights, by the time bedtime is reached I am done in. And the thought of picking up another "whatever" is just too much.

  4. I am sorry for your anxiety. I had a PA last spring and was constantly in fear of the next one. My doctor put me on a tranquilizer for 2 weeks to give my brain a rest. I am proud to say it has been a year since I have had to take any medicine and I have not had another attack. That is not to say that I do not feel the symptoms of one coming on. Each day without one relaxes my mind a bit. I am praying for you and hoping you get some much needed and deserved rest soon. God Bless!

  5. I hope you get some rest & feel better soon!

  6. I could never deal with all of those rodents/bugs. I live in Ohio but had a horrible wake up the other morning. Reminds me of your stories.
My husband was in MY bathroom (He's never ever in there) and then he's calling the dog in. So I'm thinking he's going to bathe her which doesn't make sense since it's 6:30 a.m.
I ask what's going on and he tells me to go back to sleep. I shoot out of bed since I KNOW something is going on.
There is a mouse in my bathtub. It's running laps, pooping at every turn trying to save it's life. I grabbed a huge cup & magazine and captured it and put it outside.
My husband was going to let the dog kill it IN MY tub. That is so sick. Now if were a rat, we've have to relocate.

Guess I'm not the only one who hates these rodents. What can you do when you live by farmers & corn fields in Ohio?!

  7. I just had to comment about the PA. My husband had them for awhile, at work, in the middle of the day, and had tons of tests done on his heart, blood pressure, etc. and they just called them panic attacks. He still gets dizzy but that's another story. They told him to drink more water during the day, increase salt intake a little bit to take the edge off the dizziness and when he feels a PA coming on to bounce up and down on his tiptoes, and then to squeeze his body almost like he's going number 2. It's supposed to do something to a nerve and help. But, if you wake up with them, that might not help as much. Just thought I'd pass on a little info... pray that this passes quickly..
