I took down my Moby back wrap tutorial months ago because it's not considered safe by Moby anymore. There are plenty of YT tutorials out there, but I was sick of all the attacking comments on the video, so I took it down.

Oh wow! So the wrap isn't considered safe any more?? That's a shame! It seemed like a good design to me! I'm sorry to hear that you were getting attacked for your video Susie.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the rude comments. I would have very much liked to see the video as I'm trying to find a back hold for the Moby Wrap.
ReplyDeleteJust the back wrap, right? Bonnie needs clarification.
ReplyDeletePlus, I get why you've removed it -- OSH backlash stuff...we know the women in Africa aren't going to stop
Yes, it was considered unsafe because it's a stretchy wrap. The "accepted standard" is back wrapping is okay with a woven wrap. But if you've ever put your baby in a back carry in public, you'll know there's no "accepted standard". People come rushing over to try and 'hold the baby' because they are sure I have no idea what I'm doing. I still back carry with the Moby. *I know* I'm doing it safely. But I won't be held responsible for someone else because they don't know what they are doing.
