This year I am thankful

For a beautiful, spunky girl born to me on a cloudy day in April, 2006. I was naive, inexperienced, and feeling a bit overwhelmed. We tried to br*astfeed for 4 weeks, stubborn as nails, before we came away successful. I cried and cried from pain, overtiredness, and stress. I took, and passed, my final exams the week after she was born (for my senior year of college), and when she was 17 days old I walked across the stage, next to my husband who held her, and we both received our diplomas.

For a strong, absolutely amazing little boy born to me on a beautiful summer day in January, 2008 (New Zealand). He was a champion. My legend. I am still amazed at all he accomplished. 67 amazing days we were blessed with his presence, and nearly 3 (!!) years we have been blessed to be his parents.

For an intense, funny, girl who was born at home with ease on a warm day in April 2009 (New Zealand). After much puking, white spots all over the carpets, lots of scrubbing and laundry, I realized long after the fact that she had undiagnosed reflux. She, like her sister, did not enjoy sleeping. But she has spunk. Spunk, I'm telling you. I love that girl!

For Quattro. Quattro will arrive in early June, 2011. ;) Anxious to see who this little person will be.

God bless, Happy Thanksgiving!
