Anonymous comments

Anonymous comments have been removed from my blog from now on. I've had enough of cowardly comments designed simply to get a reaction out of me. At the beginning of my blog journey I fell for the criticisms and responded to them. Now, I know they are just moles who thrive on drama - so I just delete them before anyone else sees them.

The last comment put me over the top though, so after 2 1/2 years of anonymous posting, it's been disabled.

If you have been commenting (politely) from "anonymous" you can sign up for Open ID or Google so that you can leave a comment from a "verified" name.

This was the simplest way to cut degrading, mean comments out of my day.

  1. Sorry you're having to deal with that. I hope it wasn't anything I said?

  2. You don't know me, so I feel silly leaving a comment.... Just wanted to let you know how ENCOURAGING I find your blog. THank you for sharing your life, your strugges, your joys with friends and strangers alike. Your journey is one close to my heart and I feel so blessed to walk it with you. You are a wonderful mama and it is so obvious that you love your 3 kids with your whole heart. Blessings to you today!

  3. And no Wendi - it definitely wasn't your comment! It was a comment that I deleted - basically blaming me for what happened to Naomi, saying it was all my fault and that I shouldn't be labeling my child saying it would give her a complex *eye roll*.

  4. That's ridiculous, but I feel your pain! I had to change my blog and id to keep blogging. Rude anonymous comments just don't make sense, unless you really know the person you have no right to criticize, and if you really know the person, you should be able to criticize privately, not for the entire blog world to see.

  5. I've read your blog since the beginning and love to hear about your life. I am sorry there has to be people in the world who enjoy saying ugly things about others. Just consider the source and go on with your sweet life.

  6. Oh what!! Who would dare leave a mean comment for you, I'm astounded. I've been reading probably 2.5 years and I can't imagine what anyone would have to say, you're lovely and down to earth aside from the tremendous grace you've shown through difficult times. I'm so sorry Naomi had that accident - I had a near miss with my baby when he was 3 weeks old and it still plays on my mind. And it was a lapse of judgement, and thankfully the time between realising "that's not a good idea" and something tragic happening was enough for me to act. To err is human, we don't do purposefully, but to be mean to another about it when the consequences are so dire, is just purposefully cruel. Sorry that happened to you as well.

  7. I'm with ya babe! I don't allow anonymous comments either. Aside from the occasional jerk, I also get sales pitches for Viagra & travel schpeals for trips to the Bahamas, etc. Not worth it!
