Prayer Request

Matt's parents home was broken into the other day. They lost a lot of valuables - which are replacable. Every CD with pictures was stolen, along with their computer - so all of Oceana, Joshua, and Evan's (Matt's nephew) pictures are gone. Luckily in the age of digital camera, we can replace all of that. But there's still a big loss in having your home broken into.

Please keep them in your prayers. I'm sure Mom especially is feeling out of sorts. I know how I feel when a BUG gets into my home uninvited. I get frantic and look over my shoulder day and night for several weeks. Every shadow creeps me out and every noise startles me. (What can I say, I'm a little jittered). I can't imagine how much worse it is to know someone was inside your home and took your belongings.

Love you Mom and Dad - hope everything is replaced quickly. I'll be burning DVDs tomorrow of all the pictures to send you tomorrow - Matt's baby pictures up through now. *Hugs*

  2. I'm so sorry. Yes, it does make you feel violated to know that someone you didn't invite has been in your things & in fact gone through them & then taken stuff. We were robbed when we lived in England.

Our thoughts & prayers indeed go out to Matt's parents!

  4. Very sad.

Why would a thief take personal items? That doesn't make any sense. You can't get cash for those.

So sorry to hear this. Its just awful!

ps. the worst part is feeling that violation of privacy.

  5. in my country burglars no longer only do it when you're not there they do it when you are sleeping at night.

They also mark your house with a colour i.e. Red for danger go armed, white for safe no risk, green for inside help etc. They do these markers with unsuspicious markers. I've even heard them throw beer bottles onto your lawn to make your house for burglary.

    Either way it is un-nerving!!

  6. So scary! I remember when I was a child, my Easter basket was stolen while we were at church. My parents were more upset with the television, money, and jewelry being taken, of course. It is such a violation. You are so sweet burning the DVD's for them. Hopefully the person/s will be caught!

  8. I'm sorry to hear about Matt's parent's. It's horrible to have your personal space invaded like that. I hope that things get sorted quickly and that they have a sense of peace back in their house very soon.

  10. That's terrible! It's also so unfair!! I really don't understand the mentality of a person that justifies breaking into someone's personal space!! I'll pray for peace for your in-laws & that the people that did this would be caught & brought to justice!

  13. I know exactly how your mother-in-law feels as my home was broken in to on December 15th. I will never forget how violated I felt. She will go through many emotions before forgiveness can be given....only after I WASHED everything the burglars TOUCHED could I at least begin to heal....I lost ALL my jewelry...mostly sentimental pieces from my parents...pieces that can never be replaced...but I tell myself those are just things. My heart, my life are in tact...for that I am grateful. I will keep your family in my prayers. ps: I'm still scared to come into an empty house....and it's been 2 months...I pray that I get brave soon! Blessings, Jeri
